Yeah, yeah, yeah… Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra and all those guys are known for their versions of the Christmas hits… But let’s be honest: A lot of us would rather make things a little more up-to-date and listen to contemporary artists around the holidays.
So I’ve compiled a list of holiday songs that aren’t necessarily what (or who) you’d expect to hear from this time of year:
I used to hate country. Like, a lot. But now I actually own some country songs (and — gasp! — albums). I blame the wave of new, young, pretty, blonde country singers. They’re much easier to like than Toby Keith or Brooks and Dunn.
So here’s my list of 13 mostly tolerable country songs that even hardcore country-haters might find themselves liking:
When you’re driving in your car, it’s nice to have some upbeat music to keep you going. And sometimes its nice to blast that music so loud that all the other cars around you can hear. This playlist is made just for times like that; times that you need some loud, thumpin’ jams to really get things bumpin’.
So crank up the volume, roll the windows down, and just try not to dance to these aggressive, bass-heavy tracks:
